Want to modify your Nissan Xterra (or a similar vehicle with an overhead console) to mount a CB, antenna mount, and a differential breather? Then you’ve come to the right place.
I’m going to walk you through how I installed my Uniden CB from my sunglasses holder on the roof of my truck. I’ll explain how I ran the antenna cable to the back and how I installed the Firestik antenna as well. And, as a bonus, since I’m in the same area, I’ll show you how I ran my rear differential breather behind the passenger tail light as well.
Overall, this is a fairly easy install. Running the CB cable from the back of the truck, up through the headliner, and then down to the CB was probably the hardest part. Otherwise, it’s pretty straight forward.
